Voyage Credits
With thanks to the astronomers, archives, and open science that make this possible.
Voyage is a small independent project. The universe it draws from isn't.
Imagery
Voyage uses both interpretive artwork and real source imagery. Primary and alternate object artwork is generated with Midjourney from curated prompts, then reviewed and composited to match the tone of the app. Some objects also include real reference images or photographs from public agencies, archives, Wikimedia Commons, or other open/licensed sources. Midjourney artwork is not presented as photography; real imagery is included as source material where it helps ground the discovery.
Music
Travel music is generated with Suno and the open-source ACE-Step model.
Factual content
Descriptions, distances, and encounter facts are compiled from public-domain and open-access sources including:
- NASA and its missions (JPL, Goddard, STScI / Hubble, JWST, etc.)
- ESA (European Space Agency) and ESO (European Southern Observatory)
- SIMBAD, NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database (NED), and other astronomical catalogs
- Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons
- Peer-reviewed astronomy papers and press releases
All text in the app is rewritten for tone, edited for accuracy at the time of writing, and reviewed by the Voyage team. Errors are ours, not our sources'.
Not an official NASA product
Voyage is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NASA, ESA, ESO, or any other agency whose public data it references. Agency names and mission names are used for identification only.
